That race was the only heavy looking race I've seen. Where the front two kicked seemed to nearly destroy the winner.

Crazy fractions. 18 second + for the last furlong.
The family treble is up in smoke!

I threw a few pennies at Skycutter and Densworth in the last.

Leg 2 of the potential family treble up next. The Elliott horses are running well so could happen. Is it possible to download the pedigree page with the 1st,2nd and 3rd dams and progeny SevenTowers? Is it Weatherby's? There was an article in the Sporting Life website about some GN entries relatives that I wouldn't have found otherwise, without trawling thru Pedigree Query, and not mentioned on RP pedigrees.

Go Dante placed almost feels like a winner considering he 'dug his heels in' on the standing start. Standing start in the National by the way.

What about a Honeyball 1-2-3 in the 2:30?! I’ve been backing all the Valirann’s over three miles plus for a while now, so Forward Plan was in the AP book @ 10’s. Kilbeg King I can’t quite get a handle on. Is he going back to Punchestown as well? If this is the aim then he’d have to have a chance off 140. If they want him in the National as a 10yo without having to scramble around next season, then he needs to be winning this today or at Punchestown if that’s on the agenda. STD will probably **** that up though. And Sam Brown still looks to have plenty of ability albeit he got badly outpaced at Kempton but what a stayer.

Just small stakes today for the races either side of the national.
1.20 West Balboa 7-1 double with
1.55 Brighterdaysahead
2.30 Forward Plan 13-2 e/w 4 places had this at Kempton and it finished like a train hoping the 4lb rise isn’t too harsh.
3.05 Either HiddenvalleyLake or Sire De Berlais to win 5-2
5.00 Master Chewy 15/2 e/w 3 places
5.35 Tripoli Flyer 13-2 e/w 4 places
Good luck all

Oh dear, just the mention of Red Rum and I'm choking up, I often want previous winners to win or give a brave defense. Adore both Corach and Noble, not without a chance, big boys that they are. Obviously attracting money.

Suicidal early pace yet again. Johnnywho and Lord Snootie did well to finish as close as they did as they were up with it. They come out as the “stayers” in that race but the former is out of a 4 mile winning mare so not surprising.
