Don’t know the entries yet and who know, we may even get a Mullins horse entered if he is after trainers title. I expect to see 1 or 2 Cromwell horses entered.
That said one or two have been on my radar as possibles for this. Even before his most recent win I could see Top Of The Bill being of interest as is Twoshotsoftequila. They both look like there is a marathon in them but just depends if the Irish do come over.

I haven’t looked at the full list of entries yet, but I suspect it will be a minefield, I think I’ll wait until after Aintree as I have got a clue who will and who won’t run. But the entries are out according the Racing Post.
‘The three major players in this year's British trainers' championship were well represented among the entries for Ayr's Coral Scottish Grand National and Coral Scottish Champion Hurdle on April 20.
Reigning champion Paul Nicholls has made five entries for the £200,000 Scottish National, including Grade 2 winner Threeunderthrufive and Stay Away Fay, last seen running in the Brown Advisory.
A total of 71 entries have been made for the marathon contest and Dan Skelton, who holds a narrow advantage over his old mentor in the title race, is responsible for five of them, including Le Milos.
Ireland's champion trainer Willie Mullins, who sits third in the British championship, has made ten entries, including We'llhavewan, who finished fifth in the Irish Grand National behind Intense Raffles.
Kitty's Light heads the sponsor's betting for a repeat Scottish National victory at 8-1, with Kim Muir second Git Maker available at 10-1, and Anglers Crag, Beauport, Elvis Mail and Inis Oirr at 12-1.
A total of 48 entries have been made for the £100,000 Coral Scottish Champion Hurdle and two four-year-olds have been entered in Latin Verse and the Joseph O'Brien-trained Lark In The Mornin.
The entries also include last year's winner Rubaud for Nicholls and the Skelton-trained L'Eau Du Sud, who was narrowly denied when second in the County Hurdle at last month's Cheltenham Festival.
"Willie Mullins being so successful at Cheltenham has added an extra dimension to the title race and we could be set for an exciting end to the season," said Ayr's chief executive David Brown. "For us to get some lovely entries from Nicholls, Skelton and Mullins, as well as a number of other Irish trainers, is most welcome and we're absolutely thrilled." ‘

Have fancied Sail Away for this since his win on the card last year. Hoping he swerves Aintree for here in anticipation of better ground, though I will probably still back him in the Topham if lining up as greater emphasis on stamina is looking likely and he's usually up with the pace.

There is an outsider entered in this that I find a bit intriguing because at no point was he ever put in the race at Hereford last time but because his competitors literally fell by the wayside he ended up winning the race and as a result has actually been dropped by the handicapper. It looked like a prep for something that was gifted to him.
Not sure if COURTLAND (50/1) is going for this or the Bet365. I guess they will go where the ground is best but there is just something about Peter Bowen at this time of year that makes me think he could outrun his odds. He has Montelimar in that pivotal spot within his dam's pedigree which could be exciting (remember Beauport had a double helping of Alleged in his dam). He's completely unexposed over a trip like this and could be interesting.

Any ideas about what number on the racecard we go down to for the cut off point, have one I fancy but needs at least 10 to come out In the last 3 runnings at least, horses above OR130 have gotten in with a little bit to spare. Right now that takes up to the top 50 on the list so expect plenty to come out if that trend continues.

I can see Git Maker’s price contracting given the form of that race and he was miles clear of the third. If his stallion is going to win a four miler this is usually the least taxing from a stamina perspective. Once again though, how much has Cheltenham taken out of them?

I have come across a couple of relations in the race so far. If you like TOMMIE BEAU then through the mare Lovely Noor he is closely related to FAMOUS BRIDGE.
